Robert understands the broad range common practices in the electronic manufacturing services (EMS) industry involving contract negotiation, quality systems, production processes, MRP system-based inventory control and sub-tier supplier management.
Before founding Contract Manufacturing Consultants, Inc. in 1999, Robert worked for Solectron Corp. (Flex), Everett WA where he was responsible for all sales and program management activities covering printed circuit board assembly, mechanical sub-assembly and complete products for IBM, HP and other major accounts. Work included creating global supply chain solutions, cost modeling, negotiating multiyear contracts, assisting in customer audits, planning NPI ramps and managing cross-functional customer support teams.
Robert began his career as a manufacturing engineer with the General Electric Company. After earning an MBA, he joined McKinsey & Company's Cleveland office as a management consultant where he helped resolve business strategy and operating problems for major industrial companies.
